In Carinthia beef cattle marketing is characterised by regional differences and seasonal fluctuations between supply and demand.

Not only is merchandising of beef cattle determined by regional varieties, but also by fluctuating prices for cattle of various categories. Farmers in intensive regions specialise on fattening of young stock and bullocks, while, on the other hand, grassland farmers focus more on fattening of heifers (female calves) and bullocks. In the mountainous region heifers (young cattle) and calves play the leading role for the meat stock market. Apart from these categories, the beef cattle both from dairy farms and from suckler cow farms across the region play a key role. Here, too, the company strives to distribute the major part of beef cattle via quality product lines. This in turn enables a higher value for the individual farmer.
